Device is roughly "A" shaped; 2 boards form the legs of the "A" at base of one of legs there is a 23" wide cross piece for stability; the cross arm or bar of the "A" is actually 2 boards on either side of outer surfaces of the legs; the arm runs on an upward angle and extends beyond the leg by 15", there is a small metal seat at end of extension; where legs come together at top is a metal frame supporting a horizontal road & on rod is a coarse whetstone; there is a sprocket beside stone and chain runs between sprocket and pedals at base.
Donor says was used on grandfather's farm for sharpening tools.Collection
