Saucer is white; center has depression to hold cup, sides flair up giving it a dish shape, outer rim is scalloped and trimmed in gold band; beneath gold rim is a garland of blue, yellow and gray flowers, all flowers have red centers except gray ones which have blue centers, below garland are two gold bands one more narrow than other; cup has a pedestal base trimmed in gold at bottom, from base sides taper up to form cup, top rim is scalloped and trimmed in gold, then comes a garland similar to saucer and below that two bands of gold, cup has applied handle which is decorated with a gold line on top and outside surface.
Underside of cup and saucer have word "GLADSTONE" beneath that is a crown separating phrase "BONE CHINA" and below that is "MADE IN ENGLAND"
