Jacket in white cotton, square in shape, edged with lavendar crochet, open down front, front panels have lavendar embroidery on bottom edge. Sides are caught with ribbon rosettes. Neck has ribbon ties.

by the donor’s aunt, Velva Warble Duffy.

Context

Combing jackets were worn when a woman brushed or combed her hair to avoid getting stray hairs on garments.
