This is a photo of a young woman; hair is curled on top with curled bangs, then combed back over ears; dress is on med. color fabric with a darker velvet panel in front and stand-up collar; white under collar shows above velvet; pocket of velvet on left side of dress; bar pin at throat with 3 attachments; large chain looped once then fasteded with a star/like pin at neck, chain then drops in two parts and is caught into pocket; woman is also wearing 2 roses on right side of neck at collar; mounting is of white cardbaord with gold border; straingt edged, rounded corners; this is a carte d'visite in B&W.. on back of mounting: "J.C.
