Description

Petticoat, ecru-color wool flannel. Has machine-embroidered band at bottom; there is a 1.125" tuck located 9.75" from bottom and a 5" yoke; 1" waistband is 22.5" around and made of unbleached muslin; 2 hook and eye fasteners; one side of the placket was made with dark gray selvage which has faded on the petticoat.

Use

by Mary Hill Scheffler (1875-1954), the donor's mother, as a teenager in the 1890s.
