Dress hat of black taffeta overlaid with black horse hair braid; sailor shape to hat w/ 2 1/2" brim and 2 1/2" crown; horse hair brim is 5" in front and 3 1/2" in back; crown has bank of black taffeta ribbon w/large bow on left side front; brim lined with shirred black taffeta.
