Description

Black velvet wide brimmed; 4" high crown; charcoal black ostrich feather sewn and pinned across top of crown; crown sewn in the pieces, round top, the round bias piece then 2 1/2" bias piece with charcoal black beads in a pointed and curlique design; right side of crown has velvet pouf sewn to beaded and brim section; brim is covered with 1/2" bias tape all around outside edge; Inside crown finished with black cotton type material (lined) small black ribbon at back; 9" long black feather with curled end on top of brim. Item given to board member for museum; failed to get address or history; nor signed donor form.
