Description

A two piece linen (blue) dress "A" 8 gored skirt, 31-1/2" long with a 1" belt, closed with 2 hooks and a placket on left side with 4 snaps. "B" Jacket has a 3-1/4" peplum with 5-1/2" point in front. Three pleats decorate each side of front. Opening closed with 5 snaps and 1 hook, outside has 6 hexigon shaped buttons. A monogram in Navy Blue is on left point of collar. Short sleeves with inverted pleat on top. A back yoke, inverted box pleat in back. For a photo of Murphy wearing the dress, see: 1985.002.004.

Use

by Hilm "Katherine" Murphy, who made the dress for 4-H and won a blue ribbon at the Indiana State Fair in 1936.
