Hand sewn cotton dress bodice of a floral print; single red flowers have a green leaf and lavendar flowers have brown leaves; bodice is collarless and has bell sleeves; there are 3 darts on each side of the front; front is slit from top to bottom and closes with 9 hooks and eyes; back is made of 3 curved pieces coming together at the bottom; there is cording at the shoulders, sleeves and neckline; the lining is linen and has 2 brown initial an "S" and possible an "I"
