Women's Tan Brocade Silk Wedding DressDescription
Two-piece dress of tan brocade silk. A: Bodice made with point in front and back at waist. Front has yoke of brown georgette gathered in place with two rows of beads. Front has three panels, middle one gathered. Leg-o-mutton sleeves in two pieces: large poof at top and tight -fitting from elbow to wrist. Shoulder ruffle begins at front opening at bottom of yoke and ends at back armhole. Back has six panels. 24" twill tape is sewn at waistline in back and hooks together in front. There are eleven stays in bodice and bodice is lined with small-print tan cotton. Front opening closed with twelve hooks and eyes. B: Skirt is four gores. Front and side gores are plain, back gore pleated into belt. Skirt is lined with tan cambric, a 10" piece of stiff brown cotton is sewn to bottom of skirt on inside and a 1" piece of brown velvet is sewn on very bottom. Skirt is 43" long with a 23" waist. C: is a bag of original scrap material from the dress.Use
