Entry for bridal exhibit program:
"For many Shelby County residents, the name Liana is synonymous with wedding gowns. In the late 1960s, Liana (Owen) Skinner opened up a formal wear store in Shelbyville on S. Harrison Street. For decades, she helped dress thousands of women and young girls for their school dances and weddings. She also sold Merle Norman Cosmetics and rented suits and tuxedos. She eventually sold the business to Christa Carson-Weaver, who renamed it Elegant L, and moved it down the street to its current location, the old Alhambra movie theatre."Collection
