A black and white photograph of the partially constructed Gulfport Yacht Club clubhouse which is elevated on stilts by the water. There is a wooden dock across the foreground and there are a few small boats docked beside it, one of which is labeled "18X132."
"Building a clubhouse was the first post-war project for the Yacht Club members upon their return from service. The building came in pre-fabricated sections and was raised up on trolley ties salvaged from the demolition of the streetcar line."
