Context

"Gulfport's only Queen Anne style home, at 2701 Beach Blvd S, was built around 1910 by Vincent Leonardy for the Sackrider family, and later given to their daughter Kate and her husband John F. Cronkhite, mayor during the mid-1920s. The Cronkhite's son, John L. Cronkhite, Sr., was a WWII flying ace, whose exploits inspired the 1940s hit song "Comin' in on a Wing and a Prayer."
