Description

A color photograph of the Gulfport Casino from Beach Blvd. The building is a white building with blue trim. The building reads "GULFPORT CASINO" in light blue. There is a pelican statue on the rounded section of the building which holds the interior bandstand. There are two entrances on either side of the rounded section with stairs. Four palm trees are in front, with one on either side of the steps leading up to the front doors. There is an illustrated plaque underneath the building number and a large sign which reads, "GULFPORT 2000." above it. The sign features a round red and white striped firework with a blue triangular tip. There is a permanent sign with a white backer plate in front of the landscaping which reads: "GULFPORT CASINO PUBLIC PARKING SWING DANCE RIGHT STEP LESSON 7 00PM JUMPIN JAMES 8 00PMFRIDAY JULY 16 TH" There are palm trees planted around the curvature of the bandstand. There is a sign right of frame on the building which reads "CASINO" and has event details. Left of frame on the building is a display window with a patriotic display with decorations and small figures. The sign for the Chamber of Commerce office is visible next to it.
