"Singlehurst's Sawmill, built in 1907 at the corner of the old street car line on Beach Boulevard and Tangerine. In operation for about three years, it was torn down and moved to another location after all the trees were cut and sawn. A narrow gauge railroad ran northwest from the sawmill in the general direction of present-day 58th Street and 15th Avenue. The rail was used to haul logs from the woods and had no connection with the car line."
