"... overview of the waterfront is dated 1936, between the building of the third Casino and the replacement of the old wooden pier. When the pier was demolished, party boats and commercial fishermen had to use the small pier just east of the Casino. The temporary pier behind the Casino gave way shortly after this, dunking 50 or 60 people. ("Some anglers had to catch their fish a second time.") The Peninsula Inn, the Gulfport Garage, and of course Stetson Law School are easy to spot amidst the otherwise sparse terrain." (Gabber Newspaper, January 14, 2010)Collection
