"[This] picture, taken in March 1934, shows the Casino construction well underway. A sign to the left designated it as a CWA (Civil Works Administration) project. The CWA was about to be disbanded, and so work on the casino stopped until FERA (the Federal Emergency Relief Act) took over projects in progress a few months later."
