City of GulfportContext
"Gulfport's first town hall went out in 1913 about where the dog park is now located. It cost precisely $1259.75, was painted yellow, and even wired for electricity. In 1927 it was moved to the present city complex on 53rd Street... It stood until it was auctioned off for the materials in 1953, lasting the exact amount of time -- 40 years -- as its successor, which was built in 1954 and replaced in 1994 with today's city hall."
