"Frenchy LaJoie, left, and Arthur Benn were shown loading up a jewfish to sell to the Hibbs Company... Frenchy, once owner of a bait house on the pier, was one of the town's favorite waterfront characters, and Arthur was part of the big Gulfport family of Hudsons and Thompsons. The year was probably around 1940. Jewfish, the largest of the groupers, is now a protected species." (Gabber Newspaper, October 22, 2009)Collection
