THE STATE THEATER - The action center of town has long since moved out to the malls and shopping centers and few of the old movie theaters are still standing. Most are parking lots or waiting to become parking lots. The last movie I remember seeing here with Melodie shortly before the theater closed was TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, a small film that opened my eyes to many things and still find a lovely example of successful translation from a novel with all the emotional power left intact.
