"Gulfport's Second Casino.... Built in just a couple months by former mayor Nathan McKinney, it opened in January 1925 as a replacement for the earlier Casino destroyed in the hurricane of 1921. A rather flimsy affair, it tended to sway a bit when the dancers got going but still served as a popular place for parties and excursions.
