When Wei Pengpeng was a child, other village children wouldn’t play with him because he was from a different family than the village clan. So, he played with rabbits and chickens instead. Here, chickens that look like they are in the trees are actually on the ground on the other side of the fence from the rabbits. Wei is a peace advocate and explains, “Although there is a fence separating the two groups of animals, they can see each other and live together in joy and peace. My dream is that China and the United States, two countries separated by culture and race and ocean, can live together in harmony.”
