Description

Albert C. Bateman was born on November 20, 1904 to Albert and Ellen Bateman in Gonzalez, TX. He was initiated into the Alpha Beta chapter at Detroit City College (Wayne St University) in Detroit, MI on May 1, 1927. He returned to Houston and was a charter member of the Houston Alumni Chapter. Brother Bateman was also a two-time past HAC Polemarch. He married Beulah Smith in late 1941 and then was drafted and enlisted into the Armed Services for World War II in 1942. His occupation after the service was as a Postman for the US Postal Service. He was also an avid motorcycle rider. Brother Bateman passed away on October 22, 1979.
