Epitaph for the daughter of Flavia Palatina. Broken marble tablet 1 of funeral memorials and fragments imbedded in wall on left side of courtyard archway Reportedly discovered 1926 in Roman catacombs Probably are part of the "inscriptions" purchased from Pacific TRANSCRIPTION [ D(is) ] ((hedera)) Manibus. [c. 22 pa]ter et Fl(avia) Palatina mater [c. 4 filiae carissi?]mae, quae vixit ann(is) [c. 7 mensibus die?]bus VI, fecerunt et 5[sibi et suis libertis li]bertabusque poste [risque eorum c. 5] et Valerio Iasoni [c. 21 T]heseo cum Cl(audia) Epigonen(i) [con]iuge. TRANSLATION To the Divine Spirits. [ (her) fa]ther and (her) mother, Flavia Palatina, made (this) [for (their) dearest daughter], who lived for [ ] years, [ months and] six days, and [for themselves and for their freedmen and free]dwomen and [their descend]ants, and for Valerius Iason, [ for T]heseus with Claudia Epigonen, (his) [wi]fe.
