Description

15th-16th c. Sardinian Dowry Chest Chest with plain lift cover. Front has five carved panels with coat-of-arms of shipping family. The side panels suggest that its owners either lived or traveled by the sea. Side panels have four faces in circular design and four animals in similar pattern. Scalloped stretcher with geometric design.
