Description

Claviharp (combination of harp and keyboard), machine carved with foliated design; 2 pedals, harp back, carved wood head at top, 2 iron handles on either side. 1805-1820, Marked Dietz under the keyboard cover. The keys & action is missing. Made by Johann Christian Dietz. Purchased in Munich, Germany, April 25, 1928 Circa 1960 Hammond had inside mechanisms removed for potential work, but never had them reinstalled.
