Description

Fish serving spoon. At the very end of the handle is a rabbit. Underneath, still at the end, there is in a graceful open design: a.) at edge, a bearded face. b.) nestled in center, a bird. c.) to the left, a smaller bearded face. Introducing a more vertical line is a standing robed figure. Stem has double sugar twist and twining design. Flat serving portion has fish at center with lattice work and geometric circular design at border. Obscured marking back middle stem. ca. 1680, Liege, France
