Description

Decorative ornament: rectangular box with raised edges. On the front are three soldered sheet-bronze classical facades: on each side a pediment is supported by two Doric columns. Between the columns is a mummy-like human figure (one is missing). Center facade has a pediment supported by four Doric columns, figure is missing. On left side, two sets (of four each) of graduated "pipes" fit into the box--each "pipe" has a short slit near the top, but does not produce a sound. Solder joining "pipes" to box has been broken. Missing center front façade pieces are located in Irene's closet along with entire artifact. Theory: this is a stylized menorah.
