Description

18th c. Pewter Charger, medium-sized, two bandings around lip of rim about 1.5 cm from edge. Markings: R R A (see catalogue card). English, 18th century This piece was probably the work of James Tisoe (1733-1771). It is unornamented except for two bandings around the lip of the rim. There are three seals marked on the charger. They show: a crowned leopard’s face (middle); a leaf (right); and, a crowned rose (left). Similar to H.M. 891
