Description
1 of pair of carved wooden plaques.
16th c. French
.1 - Knights with arms and dogs holding large shield with coat-of-arms at center. The knight also holds a shield which is embossed with a coat-of-arms at its center. The presence of the dogs may indicate a reference to the hunting expeditions of the wealthier medieval citizens.
Possibly added after Hammond post 1965
