Elijah White was appointed Corporal on March 9, 1863, and was killed on July 7, 1864, at the Battle of Chattahoochee River, Georgia. The document further notes that he was "Killed at Vinings near Atlanta" and was probably killed soon after the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain.
