Mary Elizabeth Delaney, originally from Boston, was the dance director and instructor at Ward-Belmont beginning in 1938. She took a yearlong leave of absence in 1943, and returned to Ward-Belmont in 1944 and 1945. She graduated from the Chalif Normal School of Dancing in New York City, and also attended Emerson College of Oratory in Boston. After leaving Ward-Belmont, she went on to be director of dance at the Mississippi State College for Women.
Mary Douthit graduated from the Ward-Belmont School of Music and was a piano instructor at the Ward-Belmont Conservatory of Music. She was a pupil of Lawrence Goodman, the Director of the School of Piano at Ward-Belmont.Collection
