Betsy Ann Humphries and Louise Jahncke were members of the Ward-Belmont class of 1941. The 1941 Milestones yearbook stated that the recital "provided Ward-Belmont with its chief topic of conversation for weeks before and after the evening of April 4. As a part of the course each girl created one solo and one group dance with costumes and music arrangements. When Betsy Ann appeared in her Hungarian Rhapsody presentation and when Louise Jahncke appeared in Trepak and Ballet du Reve, the first and only night audience could not suppress oh's and ah's of admiration."
Betsy Ann Humphries, originally from Delaware, Ohio, was a dance major and earned her Dance Diploma from Ward-Belmont. She was a member of the Glee Club ('40 & '41) and choir ('40 & '41), and served as the Sergeant at Arms of the Osiron social club ('41).
Louise Helen Jahncke, originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, earned her Dance Diploma from Ward-Belmont. A multi-sport athlete and active member of the Athletic Association, she was a member of the hockey and swimming varsity teams in 1940, as well as Music Club ('41), Art Club ('41), and Home Economics Club ('41). She also served as President of the F. F. Club ('41). The 1941 Milestones yearbook described her as "agile and relaxed as a rag doll" and stated that she "does nip-ups, unsupported flips, or splits all with equal poise." She went on to marry Charles R. Stevens and passed away on April 22, 2017.Collection
