Description

Trip to Italy with Mrs. Partee and Mrs. Atkins. Trip details from the 1975 Winterim Course Catalog: "Designed particularly for art, history, and Latin students, the program offers the opportunity to study in depth the culture, history, and customs of a country which is in itself an art museum. The tour begins in Rome with short trips to Pompeii and Sorrento, then travels to Florence, Pisa, and the hill town of Assisi. Throughout the tour, students absorb the wonder of antiquity, the Renaissance, and a vital, creative, modem Italy. Venice, the Queen of the Adriatic, is visited then Verona and Padua and on to Milan and The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci. From Milan, students travel by train through snow-covered Alps to Lucerne, Switzerland, for a day of relaxation before flying back to Nashville."
