The 1951 Milestones yearbook described the recital as follows: "The recital included this year several interesting numbers. Four ballets were given, two of these by Senior dance majors. There was a classical ballet, a farm scene, a night club scene, and a baseball game portrayed by the Advanced Modern class. The complete program was one of gracefulness and charm, and was enjoyed by the entire student body."

Sarah Ann Stebbins and Frances Claire Wigginton were members of the Ward-Belmont class of 1951. Stebbins, originally from Pensacola, Florida, earned her General Diploma from Ward-Belmont. She was a member of the Osiron social club and the French Club ('50 & '51). Wigginton, originally from Evanston, Illinois, earned her Dance Diploma from Ward-Belmont and participated in Home Economics Club ('50) and French Club ('50 & '51). Like Stebbins, she was also a member of the Osiron social club and served as its Treasurer in 1951. Ellen Jane Anderson was the dancing instructor/director at Ward-Belmont in 1950 and 1951. She earned her B.A. from the University of Missouri, and attended the San Francisco Ballet School.
