Each student was supplied with a copy of the handbook at the opening of the school year, "with the hope that it will be useful in introducing them to the various student organizations, in acquainting them with the ideals of the school, and in inspiring them with the desire to become true and loyal members of the student body."
This handbook belonged to Jane Sutherland, who was a freshman at Ward-Belmont at the time.Context
