The 1993 program for the George Washington Day Celebration put on by the class of 1998 when they were in the seventh grade. The celebration was dedicated to Patty Litton Chadwell (1935) who first brought this Ward-Belmont tradition to Harpeth Hall nearly 40 years ago. George Washington was played by eighth grader Catherine Workman (1997) and Martha Washington was played by eighth grader Amy Enders Lampton (1997). The George Washington Day Celebration was a tradition that began at Belmont College for Young Women, developed into a costume ball and dance at Ward-Belmont, and was transferred to Harpeth Hall, where it continued as a special all-school program performed by Middle School students until 2020.Collection
