Context

John Wynne Barton served as the Vice President of Ward-Belmont beginning in 1927, and assumed the role of President after the death of Dr. J. D. Blanton in 1933. Per this document, he also served as President of the American Association of Junior Colleges. Barton passed away on September 2, 1936.
