To my friends who were kind an loyal
in sending me Christmas greetings, in
spite of the fact that I didn't send any
this year:
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I had bought some cards, but felt so little of the Christmas spirit that I didn't get them sent out. Forgive me! I'll try to do better next year.
Of course, 1979 was not an easy year, bit I keep busy with private teaching, and am fortunate in having some very talented pupils. A bit of translating and an occasional talk on opera add variety to my activities. I value my membership in Rotary, where I am the official piano beater. For the present I plan to stay here in Miami, where I have many friends.
During the holidays I had the pleasure of a visit from my younger brother Richard, who flew down from Columbus, Ohio. We drove over to Fort Myers, where Aletha's sister Eva lives. We brought Nana, Aletha's mother, home for Christmas day, and quite a merry time was had by that junior assembly, Nana at 103, Eva at 82, the undersigned pushing 77 and Dick at a mere 68.
All good wishes for what's left of the New Year. Do keep in touch.
