Context

1415 Chelmsford St St Paul Minn. Aug 5 /32 Rev. Dr. J. H. Harris Bonebrake Theological Seminary Dayton, Ohio Dear Doctor Harris: I have received your letter of the 24th inst as to particulars of Dr Harris' ancestry. We have here the Diary of Watson Harris. I should like to know if you have a copy of this Diary. Was Watson Harris a native of Ohio? Was the diary ever published? I have been making fair progress with the biography. There is an immense amount of materials at hand for an account of his professional life and Diaries covering the most of his life but I do not find any diary for 1910 – the year of his second visit to London. If you have any letters from Arthur I wish you would give me their dates. I have carbon copies of several sent to you. Young Arthur is at home this summer, taking a summer course in the University. Alanson is at the Boys Camp, as quartermaster, near Cleveland and is expected home next week. Dan is making an extensive trip to the Rockies & California with one of the Professors at the University High School & George is at a Boys Camp in this state. We hope you & your family are well. We shall be delighted to see you here if you can arrange to come. Yours sincerely, George C. Lay
