Dear friend
I was glad to hear that you was in the land of the living. I came to Armintha's the [15th?] of last March. She lived in Salt Rock. We live about 2 miles from Salt Rock. Mr. Gill rents his property, bought 35 acres of land on Tyler Creek, paid 35 hundred, a large barn, a seven room house, and good out buildings, 4 doors with glass in them, 3 porches, a hall, nice location. I would rather live in Salt Rock, we lived in Wheeling, Kenova, and Huntington. Mr. Gill is mail clerk in charge on the train that runs from Huntington to Logan [in] the Guyan Valley. He has been on the road almost 11 years.
George's folks were well when I heard from them. Albert and his girls live on the farm. I was sick last winter. Had the flu. I was very sick. I expect I will stay here. I was on Union Ridge last fall. The flood is pretty bad in Huntington. I don't know whether any of my folks had to move. We were in Kenova when we had 1913[8] flood. Had to move.
Write soon. Address, Sarah E. Dille, Salt Rock W Va Box 1.
