So very Sorry — this card is late, but honest - the thought was on time! I was looking through some old mail yesterday & I found a letter you sent me from Vietnam in '68. There was also a picture of you & Lifer — you wrote it shortly after you had to have Lifer put to sleep because he had Ricketts. He was the cutest little puppy.

It's been so cold here, Paul. I can't imagine how cold it must be normally out there!
It's been a hell of a winter/yr already - don't know if my mom told you but I had a seizure - in the bathroom - I broke my nose & I looked like a raccoon! I gave myself a concussion & was throwing up all day. My doctor seems more concerned with curing the problem, I want to know the "why" as well. My medication has been & I'm fine now — I guess it could be a hormonal change that altered the way my body breaks down my medication. So anyway, I'm OK & my nose & eyes are finally healed.

The 3rd my dear friend Lance died - he was my very best friend & it's taken me awhile to be able to deal with that. The next day Steve Kuchalla (across the street) died. Then the pipe froze/broke & there was no heat - then the Komlos pipes froze/broke & their house in Dumont was flooded...
All in all - it's been a hell of a winter! Don't forget the earthquake - and my good friend Danny lives in the Valley & I was so worried until I could get through to him!
