I received your very interesting Christmas greetings & fine sentiments and wish to thank you on behalf of myself & wife - We have just been entertaining Arthur, who came on from St. Paul to Washington and is staying a few days with us. We were glad to see him as he could tell us about Emma and the boys, who are very happy in their new home.
We are deprived of their Society, but perhaps next summer they will come on & spend two months with us at our country home.
