Context

Daniel A. Harris 5840 S. W. 48th Street Miami, Florida 33155 January 1981 Dear Dick: Again you have overwhelmed me with beautiful greetings and thoughtful good wishes. What can I say that could make you realize how much the mean to me? Thank you for the beautiful greeting. On December 26 I drove over to Ft. Myers to help my sister-in-law, Mrs. Eva Ward, celebrate her 83rd birthday. (Nana, Mrs. John Stacey, mother of Eva and Aletha, is still going strong at 104+) On Dec. 30 I went to Lake Worth to visit friends and cousins there. Christmas is certainly a time when one appreciates family and friends. As to our two sons and their families, Dan, the engineer, has moved to Greenville, S. Carolina, and John, the wholesale wine merchant, is in Chesire, Conn. The grandchildren are all well, and busily occupied in school. I am back at the U. of Miami this year, pinch hitting for one of the faculty members who is on sabbatical leave. Combined with my private teaching it is a bit strenuous, but it keeps me out of mischief. Thank you again for remembering me. I send you all sorts of good wishes for what is left of the New Year. Do keep in touch. As ever, Dan (over) [End of Page 1] Still trying to get caught up on my correspondence. I guess I am trying to do too many things. I think your contribution to the Lambert Memorial Fund is very generous. I have written to ask what the total is, but haven't had time to receive a reply. Phil Charles and his wife have gone back to Guam. Many thanks for your devoted care of the cemetery.
