Dear Paul,
Called you yesterday but you were either out some place or flying some where & I didn't have a chance to call last night.
It's nice to be able to see you more often but it's no life for you and the kids.

I wish I could just drop everything & run out there. IF things were different in my life I would. In other words if I were alone, like Pat, with no obligations, it would be easier.
I hate people who use money instead of giving of myself,

but I want you to accept this (just between you & me) to offset some of your expense at this time. As tough as things are now, look at the fact that in 6 years - Both will be in college & although expensive, they at least won't need child care.

As you could see by Sunday, there is nothing quiet about my life. I'll probably talk to you before you get this - I'll try calling later today or this evening. Love to kids & I sure wish I could be there for them right now. Will be in touch.
Love,
{Helen}
