Miss Lambert

My Darling Bertha
Arrived safe here 11 o'clock last night and am feeling first rate this A.M. I had quite a time in finding a place to stay but battered away at the door until I roused them. I had a pretty hard race for the St. car last night, but had a pleasant ride to the park but from there to Col. it was worse than being in a refrigerator, however I got to the depot ten minutes before train left.
I could not help thinking all the way up up last night of the treasure left behind, how loving you are and what a sweet visit we had. I shall be almost tempted to come in two wks anyway.
At any rate you are a jewel and you seem to shine more brilliantly every time we meet. I can not help feeling somewhat sad this morning at thought of our separation and I know it must be sad to your sensitive and tender affections, however keep good courage and hope on. Perhaps your folks thought I said rather a hasty good-bye, but it seemed necessary under the circumstances.
I am anxious to hear from Ira. My train goes in one hr. now. I forgot to inquire further about that bible study in prophecy.
I will be at my work again in a short time and I know I can work better by having imbibed so much inspiration from you. I thought best to write from here and if anything occurs from here to Ada you will soon hear of it.
Take good care of your health in every respect and enjoy yourself as much as possible.
With kind regards to the family and with a heart full of love for you.
I remain your devoted Lover,
J. H. Harris.
