Dear Dick:
I send you my best wishes for happiness at Christmas and for the New Year, and I enclose a check which you may want to use to entertain your family in Worthington, or in any other way you please.
To bring you up to date, I plan to go to New York on Dec. 31 to visit Lee Wolovsky and his family, who are flying in from Italy. I will also spend a day with John and his family in Cheshire, Conn. I hope to see several friends in New York, and will return to Miami on Jan. 5. I had hoped to go up sooner, but couldn't get a return flight before Christmas.
I appreciate your letters, and I am sorry I have not written sooner. I manage to keep busy with lessons, and with coaching choruses in Italian diction, and staging Amahl.
I hope the New Year brings you all that you could wish or hope for. Do keep in touch, and eventually we will get together again. I will go over to Fort Myers Dec. 26 for Eva's birthday, and Christmas Day will be spent with friends here in Miami.
Love and all good wishes,
As ever,
Dan
