My own Darling Boy:--
Here it has been three days since I looked into your smiling face. I have almost been surprised to know that I have lived through it so well. Tues. I was tired and so did not try to do much so I fringed two of my our towels and bound one of our quilts. Yesterday Elsie & I done a large washing and then I hemmed a tablecloth.
Tues. evening Elsie and I called to see Lora and surprised her wonderfully, then nothing would do but that I must come up and stay with them last night as they are alone. So I went and Lora and I slept in your old room. My but old memories flocked in my mind. Everyone seems glad to see me and of course inquires about my husband. Alma Guitner said she was sorry to hear that we had separated already. Well I do wonder what you are doing and how you are getting along. I rec'd your letter written the day I left home but that is all I have heard. I shall look for a letter or for you today or tomorrow. I can just see you going up to our old room by yourself.
Lora said she was glad you were not here last evening so she could sleep with me, but I thought down in my heart that I would rather you were here. I think perhaps we will appreciate one another even more since being separated. If you are not working I will look for you up before Sunday.
While I think of it I will write a list of some of the things you will have to pack and also some little things that I forgot.
Two comforts

The Telescope states that the Seminary will open Sept. 7, as we had thought. I hear that Mr. & Mrs. Shull will be there so we will not get lonely. Our folks are getting anxious to see you and you know I am trying to wait patiently.
Now take good care of my dear one and come as soon as you can.
Your own true one
Bertha Lambert Harris
