April 24, 1937 My last will and testament: I, Richard L. Harris, being of sound mind and mental faculties, hereby make the following bequests: To Norman Davis: All my old socks, each of which, as a whole (hole) is O.K. To Betty Tucker: My collection of pictures of Nelson Eddy, also 10 passes to "Maytime," and a phonograph record of the adored hero's voice. (also I bequeath dear Nelson himself) To Mary Jane: I leave my favorite dogs, John and Norman, my country estate, 2000 shares of Biltmore County bonds and the Rolls Royce. Also the services of my dear servant Toto. To David Wolf All my remaining earthly goods, to wit: My private railroad car "Manqueeta," my controlling interest in Universal and MGM Pictures, my ranch in the Sierras, My yacht, "the Seminole." Any other residual property is given to the Franklin County Old Ladies Home.
