Context

Westerville Ohio June 24, 1920. Dear Alfred: We are well this morning Paul and Theodore went to the C. E. convention, Richard James and Mama went yesterday and James stayed over night at Benjamins. Theodore finished planting the garden yesterday except the late cabbage. The potatoes look fine we planted five pounds of winter beans. Mama is briggling about as usual. She is getting your colothes [sic] ready to send. Toodles is lazying around as usual he killed a chicken at merrills across from Uncle Leonards. Here is your check. Do not work in the rain. Better read and take care of yourself. Papa did not go away on account of his hand and may not get to go until the first of the week as there is some pus in his hand yet. Mama is half-soling your breeches and will get things mailed this evening. Paul is planning to go about Sunday evening. We think you have made a fine start. Do not work too hard. Write often as you can. The rooster is crowing fine. From Everybody. Written by Richard L. Harris
